Placer LAFCO is  seeking nominations for one regular Special District Representative seat on the Commission. This four-year term will run from May 2026 to May 2030.

The presiding officer of any independent special district within Placer County may nominate a current director from an independent special district board to fill this role.

• Nomination Period: Opens February 10, 2026, and closes Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
• Submission: Completed nomination forms (and optional one-page Statement of Qualifications) must be emailed to lafco@placer.ca.gov.
• Selection Process: If only one valid nomination is received, that nominee will be deemed appointed. If multiple nominations are received, a mail-ballot election will be conducted via email to all 37 independent special districts.
