While a draft application has been received, the proposal has not yet been formally "filed" for Commission consideration. For the project to proceed, the following items remain outstanding:
- Final Application: A completed, formal application must be submitted to Placer LAFCO.
- Required Deposit: The necessary processing deposit has not yet been received.
- Environmental & Fiscal Reviews: The project is subject to a mandatory Comprehensive Fiscal Analysis (CFA) to determine financial feasibility and a full environmental review.
Next Steps
Once the final application and deposit are received, LAFCO staff will begin the formal review process. This will include detailed fiscal and environmental studies, followed by public hearings where the Commission will consider the proposal. If ultimately approved by the Commission, the matter would be placed on a future ballot for a vote by the residents within the proposed Town boundaries.
