PROPOSED INCORPORATION

Town of North Tahoe Proposed Incorporation

Placer LAFCO is currently reviewing a proposal to incorporate approximately 59,443 acres in northeastern Placer County into a new general law city known as the "Town of North Tahoe". The proposed territory includes the north shore of Lake Tahoe and Olympic Valley, extending north to the Nevada County boundary.

Governance: The proposal calls for a Council-Manager system with a five-member Town Council elected at large.

Purpose: Proponents aim to establish direct local control over services such as land use, zoning, law enforcement, and road maintenance.
